Jammu, May 07: Following the Northlines report on unavailability of beds and chaos at several COVID hospitals in Jammu, Manoj Sinha, the Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir made a visit to GMC & CD Hospital Jammu today and directed increase in bed capacity, regular rounds by HoDs/Senior Doctors, increase in paramedic staff, improved doctor patient interaction for better treatment.
LG tweeted said “Today visited Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, CD Hospital, GMC Jammu; took first hand appraisal of Covid Infrastructure & facilities.”
LG further added “Directed Hospitals Administration to ensure best Patient Care through regular rounds of HoDs and senior doctors in the wards; Increase bed capacity at the earliest by working in coordination with concerned departments.
Doctors must have personal interaction with the patients and their attendants to ensure better treatment. Emphasized on strict compliance of the duty rosters, Hospital referral policy and triage in the Hospitals.
Also inquired about number of patients being treated in the hospitals, patients discharged after recovery, availability of beds; inspected functionality of Oxygen Generation Plants; directed for increasing paramedical staff to strengthen Health workforce.”
