Unknown assailants are said to have shot and killed 31-year-old Ajay Lalwani in a barber shop in Sukkur town in Sindh province. Lalwani was getting a haircut when the gunmen attacked him.

According to the information, the report of this incident came in the media on Saturday. Media reports state that Ajay Lalvani was a journalist with a local channel. Pakistani newspaper ‘The News International’ has reported in its report that Ajay Lalwani was a reporter in a local television channel and Urdu language newspaper ‘Daily Puchano’.
According to reports, the incident took place on Thursday. The attackers started firing at Ajay Lalwani, who was getting a haircut in the barber shop. During this time, he was shot in his stomach, arm and knee, due to which he died.

According to media reports, while Ajay Lalwani was sitting in a barber shop, some assailants riding in a motorcycle and a car reached there and started firing. Lalwani was seriously injured by this. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital in a hurry, where he died. Police claimed that the personal enmity led to the incident, though Ajay’s father Dilip Kumar said his family had no enmity with anyone.

Here, journalist organizations have protested about this murder and took out a march after the last rites. Lalchand Malhi, a Hindu member in the National Assembly of Pakistan, expressed concern over the matter being raised. The police on Friday registered an FIR against three unidentified criminals and initiated an investigation.
