According to the Pakistan media report, the Chaman border outpost in Balochistan has been closed due to the Corona epidemic. This has made more than one lakh people unemployed. The border outpost was reopened on Wednesday to enable the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan to cross the border to their native place to celebrate Eid.
Earlier this border post was closed due to Corona epidemic. Through this checkpoint, people come to each other’s country every day to do daily wages and return in the evening. But this checkpoint was closed for daily wage laborers.
Against this, a large number of people were sitting on dharna on Thursday. This border post is called Friendship Gate. The protesters are constantly demanding to open this outpost. But the Government of Pakistan is not paying any attention to it.
More than 30 injured in violent clash
It is being told in the media report that the personnel of the Frontier Corps told the protesters that the gate would not be opened until they left the place. Protesters erupted at this point. Angry protesters attacked the offices of the Frontier Corps and other government agencies at Friendship Gate.
In response, the police opened fire on the protesters. Three including a woman were killed and more than 30 people were injured during the violent clash. After this violence, tension continued near the Friendship Gate on the second day on Friday and violent people again clashed with the security personnel.
