Yesterday, the Pakistani Ministry of Health announced the registration of 213 new cases of the emerging coronavirus, during the past 24 hours.
The “Geo” channel of Pakistan stated that this is the lowest daily death toll recorded in Pakistan in more than four months.
The channel quoted the Ministry of Health as saying that six deaths from the virus have been recorded.
Pakistan had recorded its first cases of coronavirus on February 26, and imposed a three-week lockdown at the end of last March. Cases increased in the months following March, and reached 6,825 new cases on June 13. While the highest daily death toll from the virus was recorded on June 19, which reached 153 deaths.
However, over the past month, HIV infections and deaths have decreased dramatically.
And Pakistan had recorded the lowest death toll from Coronavirus, on April 10, which amounted to 186 cases.
