Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan approved in principle a law in the country on the chemical sterilization of rapists and faster tracking of sexual assault cases.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan approved in principle a law on the chemical castration of rapists on Tuesday, according to reports in Pakistani media. It was noted that the decision was taken at the federal cabinet meeting, where the Ministry of Justice presented a draft of the anti-rape decision.
“THERE WILL NOT BE SHOWN TO THE LAW TO DELAY”
The draft includes police, rapid monitoring of rape cases and increasing the role of women in witness protection. Prime Minister İmran Han emphasized that this is a serious issue and stated that the delay will not be tolerated.
“We need to provide a safe environment for our citizens,” Khan said in a statement on the law. Prime Minister Han stated that the law will be ‘open’ and ‘transparent’ with strict implementation. Prime Minister Han stated that those who were raped could record their complaints without fear, and the government would protect the identities of these people.
