11 women were crushed and died as a result of the stampede in the crowd gathered for Pakistani visa applications in Nangarhar province in the east of Afghanistan.
Nangarhar Governorship Spokesperson Ataullah Hogyani said in a statement to the AA correspondent that the number of visa applications increased with the reopening of Pakistan’s consulate general in Nangarhar, which was closed for months due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19).
Stating that tens of thousands of people gathered at Celalabad Stadium in Nangarhar center to apply for visa early this morning, Hogyani stated that 11 women were crushed and lost their lives and 13 people were injured due to the stampede created by the crowd.
