Leader of Pakistan today called for those who incite hate and violence to be outlawed…Was he referring to himself? — Indian Diplomat Mijito Vinito said while responding to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at UN General Assembly (UNGA) on Saturday.
“Leader of Pakistan today called for those who incite hate and violence to be outlawed. But, as he went on, we were left wondering. Was he referring to himself?,” said Mijito Vinito, First Secretary, India Mission to UN.
Referring to Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s speech at UNGA on Friday, he said: “This Hall heard incessant rant of someone who had nothing to show for himself, who had no achievements to speak of and no reasonable suggestion to offer to the world. Instead, we saw lies, misinformation, warmongering & malice spread through this Assembly.”

Mijito Vinito further asked Pakistan to vacate all those areas that it’s in illegal occupation of.
Reiterating that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, he said: “Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is integral and inalienable part of India. The only dispute left in Kashmir relates to that part of Kashmir that’s still under illegal occupation of Pakistan. We call upon Pakistan to vacate all those areas that it’s in illegal occupation of.”
“This [Pakistan] is the same country that provides pensions for dreaded and listed terrorists out of State funds…This is the same leader who called Osama Binladen a martyr…We call upon Pakistan to vacate all those areas that it’s in illegal occupation of,” said Mijito Vinito.
Further accusing Pakistan of giving shelter to terrorists, Mijito Vinito said: “The same leader who spewed venom today admitted in 2019 in public in US that his country still has about 30,000-40,000 terrorists who have been trained by Pakistan and have fought in Afghanistan and in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.”
“This is the same country which systematically cleanses the minorities including Hindus, Christians, Sikhs and others through its abusive blasphemy laws and forced religious conversion,” the India diplomat said.
Earlier, during Imran Khan’s virtual address at the UNGA on Friday, Mijito Vinito had walked out even as the Pakistan Prime Minister levelled personal attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, besides raising the issue of Kashmir at the assembly.
