To this, the Law Officer replied that the matter of release of funds for road construction does not come under the federal government. On this, Justice Khan said that if the subject of road construction is of the provincial government, then how did the federal government construct the Kartapur corridor. The Chief Justice said that the governments of the country are acting on their wishes or according to the law.
Notice can be sent to the Prime Minister
The Lahore High Court directed the Law Officer that in the next hearing you should tell the court whether the Kartarpur project brought by the federal government is not an interference in the affairs of the Punjab province?
The court said that if it is proved that the federal government has interfered in the affairs of the prompt government, then a notice can also be sent to the Prime Minister. Chief Justice Khan said that we can send a notice to the Prime Minister as and when required. Now the case will be heard after two weeks. Till then the court has directed Additional Attorney General Ishtiaq Khan to file an answer in the matter.
