Fourteen more COVID-19 patients have died during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1146 while Monday reported 824 fresh cases, taking the total infection count to 73,014, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 11 from Jammu division and three from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1146 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 826 from Kashmir and 320 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 287 deaths, Baramulla 122, Budgam 81, Pulwama 68, Kupwara 66, Anantnag 62, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 37, Shopian 32, and Ganderbal 28.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 174 deaths, Rajouri 30, Doda 27, Kathua 21, Samba 20, Udhampur 15, Poonch 12, Ramban nine, Kishtwar seven and Reasi five.
On Monday, J&K reported 824 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 540 from Jammu and 284 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 73,014.
The government said of the total 15,81,606 test results available, 15,08,592 returned negative and 73,014 positive which include 17,601 active positive cases while 54,267 have recovered and been discharged including 1408 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 5,70,333 persons had been put under observation including 15,721 in home quarantine and 17,601 in isolation while 51,373 people are under home surveillance and 4,84,492 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 14,490 cases, Budgam 4791, Baramulla 4273, Pulwama 3885, Kupwara 3539, Anantnag 3492, Bandipora 3363, Ganderbal 2844,
Kulgam 2253, and Shopian 2021.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 12,349 cases, Rajouri 2565, Udhampur 2163, Doda 2159, Kathua 2022, Poonch 1726, Samba 1694, Ramban 1295, Kishtwar 1160, and Reasi 930.
