Nine more COVID-19 positive persons have died in the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1322 while Sunday reported 569 new cases, taking the total infection count to 83,633, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include five from Jammu division and four from Kashmir division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1322 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 893 from Kashmir and 429 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 316 deaths, Baramulla 130, Budgam 89, Pulwama 73, Kupwara 70, Anantnag 69, Kulgam 43, Bandipora 41, Shopian 32, and Ganderbal 30.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 222 deaths, Rajouri 43, Doda 39, Kathua 29, Samba 24, Udhampur 23, Poonch 21, 11 each from Ramban and Kishtwar, and Reasi six.
On Sunday, J&K reported 569 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 362 from Kashmir and 207 from Jammu division, pushing the total infection tally to 83,633.
The government said of the total 18,49,765 available test results, 17,56,132 returned negative and 83,633 positive which include 10,466 active positive cases while 71,845 have recovered and been discharged including the 890 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 6,12,741 persons had been put under observation including 24,668 in home quarantine and 10,466 in isolation while 48,306 people are under home surveillance and 5,27,979 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 16,650 cases, Budgam 5399, Baramulla 4849, Pulwama 4235, Kupwara 3905,
Anantnag 3791, Bandipora 3686, Ganderbal 3155, Kulgam 2349, and Shopian 2094.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 15,286 cases, Rajouri 2987, Udhampur 2493, Doda 2387, Kathua 2266,
Poonch 2005, Samba 1978, Ramban 1952, Kishtwar 1520, and Reasi 1134.
