Six more COVID-19 patients including a doctor from Jammu died during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties in J&K to 1444 while Monday witnessed 364 fresh cases, pushing the total number of cases to 92,225, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include four from Kashmir division and two from Jammu division including a doctor from GMC Jammu.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 1444 in Jammu Kashmir, which include 964 from Kashmir and 480 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 346 deaths, Baramulla 143, Budgam 92, Pulwama 80, Anantnag 74, Kupwara 71, Kulgam 46, Bandipora 45, Shopian 35, and Ganderbal 32.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has reported 249 deaths, Rajouri 46, Doda 43, Kathua 30, Udhampur 28, Samba 25, Poonch 22, Kishtwar 14, Ramban 12, and Reasi seven.
On Monday, J&K reported 364 fresh coronavirus cases, which include 217 from Kashmir and 147 from Jammu division, pushing the total infection tally to 92,225.
The government said of the total 21,94,292 test results available, 20,02,067 returned negative and 92,225 positive which include 7296 active positive cases while 83,485 have recovered and been discharged including the 627 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 64,25,510 persons had been put under observation including 18,198 in home quarantine and 7296 in isolation while 50,024 people are under home surveillance and 56,87,47 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 18,729 cases, Budgam 5877, Baramulla 5675, Pulwama 4573, Kupwara 4311, Anantnag 4183, Bandipora 3981, Ganderbal 3440, Kulgam 2460 and Shopian 2177.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has a total of 17,013 cases, Rajouri 3172, Udhampur 2637, Doda 2615, Kathua 2387, Poonch 2219, Samba 2135, Kishtwar 1849,
Ramban 1563, and Reasi 1229.
