Seventeen more persons died of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the number of casualties to 801 while J&K reported 1013 fresh cases on Monday, officials said.
As per the government, the fresh casualties include 10 from Kashmir and seven from Jammu division.
With the fresh casualties, the death toll due to novel coronavirus has soared to 801 in Jammu Kashmir, which includes 696 from Kashmir and 105 from Jammu.
So far, Srinagar has reported 240 deaths, Baramulla 106, Budgam 66, Pulwama 59,
Kupwara 54, Anantnag 52, Kulgam 39, Shopian 29, Bandipora 26, and Ganderbal 25.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has 67 deaths, Kathua 10, Rajouri seven, Doda six, Poonch five, four each from Udhampur and Samba, and one each from Ramban and Kishtwar.
On Monday, J&K reported 1013 fresh coronavirus cases which include 600 from Jammu division and 413 from Kashmir division, pushing the total infection tally to 44,570.
The government said of the total 10,88,652 test results available, 10,44,082 returned negative and 44,570 positive which include 11,004 active positive cases while 32,760 have recovered and been discharged including 433 persons discharged during the past 24 hours.
It said, so far, 4,82,771 persons had been put under observation including 40,114 in home quarantine and 11,009 in isolation while 49,120 people are under home surveillance and 3,81,727 persons have completed their surveillance period.
In Kashmir, Srinagar has a total of 10,300 cases, Baramulla 3079, Budgam 2923, Pulwama 2896, Anantnag 2600, Kupwara 2421, Bandipora 2395, Kulgam 2000, Ganderbal 1782, and Shopian 1756.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has 5795 cases, Kathua 1091, Rajouri 1043, Udhampur 1030, Samba 850, Ramban 703, Poonch 547, Doda 542, Reasi 462, and Kishtwar 355.
