A delegation of retired employees of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development (JKTDC) on Wednesday held a massive protest demonstration outside the office of Managing Director (MD), in Srinagar.
The retired JKTDC employees alleged that their arrears including 7th Pay Commission arrears, gratuity and other pending salaries from January 1, 2016, are being deliberately delayed for the reasons best known to the concerned administration.
The delegation said that their families are at the verge of starvation as they neither have any another source of income nor they are getting pension.
“The retirees approached even advisors and other senior officers many times to register their complaints about sympathetic consideration but the administration is not paying any heed to our genuine demand which is anti-human and injustice with those who have served the corporation in difficult times,” the JKTDC retires said.
The retirees further alleged that some officers in the corporation have selectively released 7th Pay Commission arrears in favour of some employees but ignored them under different contexts.
The delegation appealed LG Manoj Sinha to personally intervene and get the arrears released in their favour at the earliest.
