Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Friday expressed deep anguish and sorrow over the killing of two cops in an attack in Nowgam locality in the outskirts of Srinagar, saying violence in all its forms is unacceptable and inhuman.
While condemning the act of violence that resulted in the killing of two cops the party spokesperson said that Violence in all its forms is despicable and has no scope in the contemporary world, it only leaves behind the account of inevitable loss and prolonged grief.
In another statement, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Friday condemned the Nowgam militant attack in which two policemen Ishfaq Ahmad and Fayaz Ahmad were killed and another cop sustained severe injuries.
A JKAP spokesman termed the attack as an inhuman act. “Violence is not a solution but a gigantic impediment that spreads hatred. In any of its manifestations, violent extremism is unacceptable in a civilized society, regardless of political, ideological or religious motivations,” the JKAP spokesman added.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also condemned the killing of two police personnel of J&K Police in Nowgam area.
PDP spokesman while conveying sympathies to bereaved families of slain police personnel has said that violence of last three decades or more has taken a heavy toll on the people in terms of death and destruction, tearing apart of the social fabric, inflicting massive economic, academic and other losses besides the irreparable loss of human lives.
In a statement, Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) also condemned the killing of two police cops in a militant attack at Nowgan.
Bhartiya Janata Party (JK) Spokesman Altaf Thakur also condemned the Nowgam attack stating that police must track down the militants and punish them sternly.
“The attack on policemen who were deployed for peoples’ security is an act of frustration,” Thakur said.
In a statement, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) also condemned the Nowgam militant attack, describing it as “senseless and shameful.”
