Scores of Cluster University (CU) undergraduate students of 2nd and 4th semester Batch 2017 (Backlog Candidates) Thursday expressed disappointment with the Cluster University for failing to declare their result in time, fearing loss of the academic year.
As per the group of students, their results have not been declared by the varsity yet after appearing via online mode exam in June.
A student Ateeb Bashir told Rising Kashmir that their examination was conducted in June this year via online mode and they have applied for postgraduate programs in various universities.
“Universities are asking us to upload our marks cards of the undergraduate program, failing which our application shall be nullified or not accepted,” he said.
Another student of the varsity Bisma Khan said these different Universities have given them a deadline of just ten days, failing which their application shall stand rejected.
“Officials at the helm of the affairs in the varsity should consider our concerns. If our result shall not be declared within the deadline we shall lose one academic year,” she said.
Another student Faiz Khan said that they have applied in various universities for PG Program and appeared in entrance examinations.
“Hundreds of students have applied for re-evaluation of 5th semester for UG Courses Batch 2017 in August this year. The varsity has failed to upload our award after taking the time of two months,” he said.
They said that after the issue was raised by the Rising Kashmir, CU declared the result of 6th semester within 24 days.
They questioned why they (CU) have failed in their case.
They urged Lieutenant Governor led administration for intervention in the issue.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, Controller Examination Cluster University Khurshid Ahmad Mir said that the work for the declaration of result is on. “It will be declared in the coming days,” he said.
“Issues are arising due to mistakes done by the candidates as the whole process was online,” he said, and added that “the same is being rectified.”
