The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday imposed a six-day lockdown across the Valley, except Bandipora district, to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
Earlier in the day, India registered 37,724 new cases, taking its total count to 11,92,915. The toll increased by 648 to 28,732.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that a serological survey would be conducted in Delhi every month. This came a day after a sero-prevalence study revealed that 23.48% of Delhi’s residents may have been infected with the coronavirus.
The global coronavirus count is now over 1.48 crore, and the toll has crossed 6.15 lakh, according to the Johns Hopkins University. More than 84.29 lakh people have recovered so far.
