JAMMU: Natrang’s International Theatre Talk Show, the most sought after theatre happening at the time of corona crisis featured eminent theatre/film actor/director Ramanjit Kaur on Friday who shared her distinctive ‘Vision of Theatre’ with global audiences live on Natrang’s Facebook Page.
Introducing Ramanjit Kaur, Natrang’s artist Sonalika Jamwal informed that Ramanjit is an International award-winning Theatre and Film Actor and Director from India, who is the Founder Director of The Creative Arts, prestigious Arts Academy (established in 2002), and the National Vice-President of Arts Leadership Council, Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI).
Ramanjit, who considers theatre to be a transforming, reforming and exuberating experience, stated that everyone should do theatre as it washes away the dust and brings the reality of life in front of us.
Speaking about her scintillating journey of theatre, Ramanjit considered herself fortunate that she got Padmashri Neelam Mansingh as her Guru who always inspires her to move ahead in her creative journey.
Mentioning her training process as an actress, she recalled that ‘Kitchen Katha’ was a wholesome training experience which required the highest skills and sensibilities. An actor who undergoes consistent training in her quest of meaningful theatre, Ramanjit asserted that life keeps on going and experiences keep on adding to our personality which affects our artistic capabilities she shares that an actor has to undergo a great journey while preparing for a play and also highlighted the importance of meditative qualities for an actor.
For Ramanjit, it is ok to fail at times as it makes you learn and explore something new.
She also discussed her children theatre training programme in which she has done considerable and meaningful theatre with children and has produced original plays with them.
She finds theatre to be an effective tool for the overall development of children.
Grasping the attention of the participants, Ramanjit very interestingly presented an Illustrative presentation of her wonderful work. She also presented an in-depth analysis of her noted plays which was a great learning experience.
