and welcome to our live blog coverage of the third T20 match in the three-match series between England and Pakistan at Old Trafford. The first match was a rain-ruined draw, England won the second, and that of course means that they will lift the trophy with a win or a draw, while the visitors need a win to share the spoils.
Pakistan set England a substantial 196 in the last game but Eoin Morga, with a 33-ball 66, made light work of that. He was supported by talents familiar and less so – Jonny Bairstow, Dawid Malan and up-and-comer Tom Banton were all in the runs.
This is a hard England side to get into: don’t forget that England have the injured Jason Roy and the rested Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes to come back into the batting card. Joe Root, no less, cannot even get in the squad! As for the bowlers, David Willey can surely consider himself unlucky to miss out as England will play Australia next, which should be a decent contest that will hopefully have a bit of spice to it.
