The Sharjah International Book Fair revealed that the activities of its 39th session, which will start on the fourth of next November, will host a group of foreign writers, poets and thinkers, who will enrich the discussions of the exhibition.
The Sharjah Book Authority will organize the exhibition, this year, under the slogan: “The World Reads from Sharjah”, until next November 14 at the Expo Center Sharjah.
The most prominent cultural event in the region is the global self-development lecturer, the American Prince Ia, who is considered one of the influencers on social networking sites for his inspirational video clips on many societal issues, watched by more than three billion people around the world, accompanied by the author and a pioneer American business Robert Kiyosaki, author of the famous book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad.”
The audience of the exhibition will have an appointment, during the cultural events organized remotely, with the Canadian author Jan Martell, the author of the novel “Life of Bay”, which enabled him to win the Man Booker Literary Prize in 2002, which was translated into a famous movie that won four Oscars.
The exhibition hosts the French novelist and historian Gilbert Sinoy, who has in his creative account more than 30 novels and biographies dealing mostly with the Arab world, the most prominent of which is the novel “The Falcon” through which he talks about the character of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God be pleased with him. Also participating in the event this year is the British author Ian Rankin, who is one of the best-selling writers of detective novels around the world, and the author of Italian children’s books, Elisabetta Dami, owner of the series Geronimo Stilton and Theia Stilton, which has been translated into more than 49 languages, and has sold about 180 million copies.
The event will also host the New Zealand poet and novelist Lang Lev, Canadian poetess of Lebanese origins, Najwa Theban, Canadian writer Neil Basrisha, American author and publisher Michael Anderley, Russian orientalist Gennady Guryachkin, writer, physician and researcher Yasser Akl, Indian political writer Shashi Tharoor, and his fellow novelist Ravinder Singh. From the United Kingdom, the exhibition will be attended by the authors: Kate Moss, Richard Ovenden, Miranda Malins, Jasmine Elbhai-Brown and Amiher Bose.
